Reelin' Inn features a reverse floor plan, screened in porch, hot tub, outdoor shower, laundry area, a nicely equipped kitchen and outdoor charcoal BBQ. The lower level has 1 King bedroom, 1 Queen bedroom and a 3rd bedroom with 2 single beds Two of these bedrooms have sliders out to deck with hot tub, outdoor shower, sitting area and upper deck access. A bathroom with walk in shower and bench seats is found on this level as well as a Washer and Dryer.

The upper level has an open concept living, dining and kitchen area featuring a fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher plus breakfast bar seating for 3, dining area that seats 10. Access to screened porch, comfortable living room with sliders out to the upper level deck, Queen size bedroom and a bathroom with a tub shower and skylight. Cable TVs are found throughout the house.

Private beach access is a short walk away for swimming or surfing. Charter fishing boats are located at the docks in Hatteras Village along with great restaurants and shopping. The Ocracoke Island ferry is nearby for a day of fun and exploration. Visit the Graveyard of the Atlantic museum for some history. Kick back in quiet solitude and amazing sunsets, bond in pristine nature with birds and wildlife viewing from the decks. Enjoy a truly relaxed experience in Outer Banks fashion.

  I’ve been coming to Hatteras for the past 20 years for a yearly reunion with my American family. This year my partner and I wanted to bring our dog so we rented this place while the rest of the family was oceanside. After driving for 3 days from Canada we were excited to finally get settled in. We arrived and unloaded a van full. It was a rough 3 days so it was nice to reach our destination. After unpacking I received a call from Shore Details saying the septic tank was full and backing up on the front lawn. They had people there all day working on it but I was never informed of this prior. I was told we had to move to Frisco, but the point of this rental was we were close to our family we see once a year. I didn’t want to leave Hatteras, so the GM was going to stop by. I’m in tears, and stressed out at the idea of having to repack and move. The GM arrived and my partner (a plumber) explained to her that we had no problem using the outdoor shower and following the “yellow let it mellow, brown flush it down” method until they emptied the septic tank on hopefully Monday (it was Saturday). We went on the next few days living that way. On Tuesday my partner checked the tank and the neighbour saw and tells him that they were here SUNDAY (at the beach that day) and emptied it. Not once did we receive a call or email to let us know we could use the plumbing. On top of that he told us the home has been having this problem all summer.
  A few other things about this rental: Kitchen sink faucet sprays when using (needs new cartridge), Hose on back deck has hole 3 feet from shut off, The sheets were stained, Linens/towels are old/weathered, Floors not mopped, Some of furniture in very poor condition.
