  My Family loved our trip to the Outer Banks. The Channel House was nothing fancy. It was very clean and comfortable, just the way we like it. We had the best view of sunrise and sunset! Centrally located was another plus. We will definitely return. Awesome vacation!

  Our family of 2 adults and 2 teens enjoyed our stay at Channel House. There are unobstructed views of both the sunrise and sunset from the two decks. We were able to crab, fish, kayak and paddle board right from this location. The house is not modern and plush, but that is not important to us. It was comfortable and roomy enough for the four of us. Be aware that there is really not enough dining space for 8 people and that is exactly the number of plates, bowls, mugs, glasses available. I would have liked some larger cooking pots and pans so you might want to bring something from home. The management company was very responsive. Would not hesitate to recommend this rental.

  We enjoyed our stay at Channel House. The house is no frills but was clean and comfortable. It is good to note that it is next to a boatyard. They didn’t disturb us at all. I would suggest that the owners put more info in the notebook about the tv. We had no idea how it worked and had to contact the property management office who immediately sent someone out. We were finally able to watch tv through amazon prime. The house is a convenient location. I enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning. Would have liked more seating on the front deck to enjoy the sunsets.

  This was a great vacation rental. it's quiet and peaceful. Some things to note on this property, there is 2 bicycles to ride, and they have 3 body boards, so don't rent those things. The boatyard cat's name is Buster, and is super friendly and visits daily. $20 worth of amenities would have made the stay better - Things like dish soap for pots, some spray cleaner, a swiffer and toilet brushes for when you bomb the bowl. We have 2 young kids, they had a great time crabbing, flying kites, coloring on the rocks with chalk & swimming in the sound.

  We totally enjoyed our stay at the Channel House. The views were amazing and the location had a private feel which was what we were looking for. The house was nicely laid out and decorated. There were great restaurants near by and a great grocery store with everything you needed. I have already recommended this place to several friends.
