Wonderful beach front home with 5 stars! My family and I stayed at this house recently and we loved it. There is a path right next to the house for access to the beach or behind the home.The home is layed out perfectly. Four large bedrooms. Decking around the entire home. I had 5 kids ranging from 14-22 my husband and my mom. The home offers lots of light. You look directly at the ocean and from the top floor you can see the sound too. Kids spent days at the beach surfing ans swimming. My mom walked for miles up and down the beach; this was our first time at this side of the Outer Banks and we loved it!!!!

With miles of untouched beaches, marshes and bird preserves, the historic Chicamacomico Life Saving station and the famous Cape Hatteras lighthouse in Buxton there's something for everyone. Take a 40 minute ferry ride to Ocracoke Island and see the wild ponies, explore the picturesque harbor and see the famous British cemetery or tour the Ocracoke lighthouse. If fishing is your sport, charter a deep sea boat for tuna, cobia, wahoo, mackeral, mahi-mahi and other Gulf Stream fish, or fish off one of island fishing piers, fish in the Sound or just surf cast off the beach for blues, croakers, drum and flounder.

'Carolina Clipper' is the perfect home away from home to relax. Watch the dolphins play while you relax in the hot tub on the top deck. Or relax in a nice 2-person jacuzzi tub off of the master suite. Plenty of room for privacy, even with large groups. Soak up the sun on the outside decks or dine on the shaded, screened porch.

This house has a reverse floor plan with the bedrooms located on the first level. There is a large King bedroom and a large bedroom with two Double beds. Both have sliders leading to the rear deck and share a full bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a shower. There is also a Queen bedroom, a bedroom with a Pyramid bed and a hall bathroom. The laundry area is on this floor as well.

The Great Room on the second level is large and spacious, with access to the deck overlooking the ocean. There is a counter with four bar stools between the great room and kitchen area, dining table seats 10. Off from the great room is a sitting room with a sleep sofa. From the kitchen you have access to the screened in porch with a gas grill and a picnic table. The Tower Room and Captains Watch is above the great room giving you a 360 degree view.

  This home was a perfect fit and price for our family of 7 and one pet. There was plenty of space and it was very comfortable. It does have so much more potential when it has an owner with the ability to put some more into it, like curtains in 2 of the bedrooms & wall hangings etc. The dishwasher was not working & that was not resolved during our stay. The crew was very attentive to getting us a new coffee pot, cleaning some dirty windows, fixing a missing post on the fence railing and a broken toilet lid and window screen. There was a decent stock of kitchen dishes and pots and pans, cutting boards and strainers for our meals. There were 3 decent bikes to use. We brought our own bikes and there was a nice downstairs area to store them. The patio under the house would be nicer if it had been cleaned well. To get to the beach, you had to walk just one house over to get the the access path. It was somewhat narrow & a little wet, but decent. The property has a lot of overgrown trees and foliage. There was not really a nice space a lawn to play any cornhole that we had rented for the week.

  I had a great time, there were a few minor issues but nothing major. The door right beside the kitchen had airflow through the top and it whined every 30 mins or so when the wind would blow, and the kitchen knives were so dull they wouldn't cut anything. And we found an easter egg in the fire hydrant.
