  If you've dreamed of staying RIGHT ON THE BEACH like I have, this house was perfect. From coffee at sunrise to surf fishing at sunset, I was on the beach, just steps outside the door. This was a convenient and relaxing alternative to packing up equipment and kids into the truck for a drive to the beach.
  The property manager (Shore Details) was helpful, and provided everything I needed by email or by the app that they provided. The house was reasonably priced, and even included a credit for some beach equipment. It was furnished and equipped just as you would expect in similar homes.
  You may need to park on sand and walk through sand to get to the steps. This is the price you pay for staying right on the water... it didn't bother me. Otherwise, the beach is public, but was not more crowded than any Outer Banks beach. We always had a nice secluded spot right outside the house using the deck for shade, and the beach was very quiet in the mornings before 10:00 and evenings after 6:00PM. In hindsight, this was a great COVID getaway... we had no reason to leave the house, except for a couple trips for groceries and bait, and we had plenty of activity to stay busy.

  We had a great time, didn't want to leave.
  Upon arriving, I was surprised there was not even a little bit of a driveway. Taking things to the place was a little challenging. Location is amazing, views are totally amazing. Inside could use some updating. Fridge is rusty all over, caulking all over desperately needs replacing. The deck was painted and things weren't even moved to paint in entirety. Also the blue house paint was dripped all over. We had everything we needed for the week to cook. Only heads up I would give is that people will prop right down and hang out right in front of the house, not at all secluded from the public.

  Had a great stay, the location couldnt have been better. Beds are broken and floor is sagging and tiles broken all over the place. But the waves at night come right up to the porch and during the day you step off the deck and out a chair in the sand and relax.

  Location is perfect and the wrap-around deck is great. All the furnishings and appliances are functional but the cottage is a little run down.
  
  Several small things that could easily be put right.
  Light bulbs over stove are out, outside lights don't work, blind on door is broken and blind on front window is broken.
  
  Seems like the rental management company are not doing their job.

  We've been coming here for years, and you don't get a better beach front cottage than this - shaded decks, 270 degree ocean view, screened in lounging porch. The added outdoor shower was this year's icing on the cake (love the new exterior paint, too). Ten stars for location and deck alone!

  We had a wonderful stay at Ebb Tide in July 2019. Our family has three sons (9, 14 and 16 years old) and had enough room for all. So nice to relax on the deck and watch the boys in the surf or run up to the house to grab a snack or drink. I read a review about rust and did not find any on the flatware or kitchen items, there was some on the front of the fridge but for an ocean front house dealing with sand and salt water constantly, it was in good shape. There is not really a driveway and the deck has some missing banisters that could be a concern if there was a child 1-5 years old. Neither of these were an issue for us. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked, lots of extra beach stuff in the laundry area, and it had a great outdoor shower. I thought linens and towels were included and we only brought beach towels- my mistake, make sure you bring bath towels too!
